Who we are

CareCPD is responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

The details you send us through our forms or by email, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. When you use a form, Cloudflare's Turnstile security check also looks at technical details like your IP address and browser to stop spam. Cloudflare runs the check for us and also uses these details to improve it, as set out in its Turnstile privacy notice.

You don't have to give us your details, but we can't reply without them.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to you, including following up on your enquiry, and to keep our forms free of spam.

We do this because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping our website secure.

Checking a certificate

When you check a certificate, we send its code to Nest Learn, the platform that issues CareCPD certificates. We then show you what it sends back: the course, the completion date, the issuer and the holder's initials, not their full name.

We do this because people who rely on a certificate, such as employers and inspectors, need to know it's genuine, and that helps certificate holders too. We don't keep the code or the result. Nest Learn keeps the certificate records.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. The companies that host our website and handle our email process it on our behalf. Our pages also load their font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when you visit, as set out in its privacy policy. Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on standard contractual clauses approved for UK transfers. Contact us for details or a copy.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for three years, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to limit how we use it. If you've given us consent, you can withdraw it at any time and ask for a copy of that information to take elsewhere. To do any of these, email [email protected].

You can object at any time to us using your information for our legitimate interests.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
